About Hope Nations

A nonjudgmental, non-denominational church of Chattanooga, founded in 2026 by Apostle Dr. Barney R. May.

How it started

Hope Nations Christian Church of Chattanooga was founded in 2026 by Dr. Barney R. May in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It began as a small cell group of 6 people.

In Apostle May’s words, it is a community, and a nonjudgmental one.

The church meets at 1600 1/2 McFarland Ave in Rossville, Georgia, just across the state line from Chattanooga.

Our mission statement

“Raising A Nation That Will Obey Him”

At Hope Nation, we are a nonjudgmental, non-denominational body of believers built on the foundation of Love, Compassion and the Truth of God.

Our mission is simple yet powerful.

To lead souls to Christ and to empower future generations to rise in their divine purpose.

We welcome every heart, no matter your past, background or your walk of life. Here grace is extended freely, healing is nurtured gently and the truth of Christ is shared boldly.

We believe in building a Nation where faith isn’t boxed in by religion but liberated through a relationship with God. Through outreach, mentorship, spiritual education and community care, Hope Nation is raising generations of faith-filled leaders, equipped, fearless and unapologetically anchored in hope.

“This isn’t just a church, it’s a movement of Love, Light and Legacy”
